Charlotte has outdoor tables for several different nights. Decide whether you want dinner, a rooftop, a brewery, or a casual open-air pub before letting the weather make the whole choice.
For a full dinner outside
Supperland gives you a restored church, Southern steakhouse cooking, an award-winning cocktail program, and outdoor seating around the Plaza Midwood property. Craft Tasting Room is the easier South End version with regional beer, draft cocktails, cheese, charcuterie, pizza, and outdoor movie nights.
For a rooftop
Whiskey Warehouse puts its rooftop above a full Plaza Midwood pub. The Chamber is Wooden Robot's NoDa rooftop. The Waterman Fish Bar gives South End an 80-seat roof called Topside above its seafood room.
For a brewery patio
Lenny Boy shares a patio and pergola with White Duck Taco Shop. The taps move beyond beer into kombucha, sours, and cocktails, which helps when the table wants different things.
For an open-air neighborhood pub
The Workman's Friend has two distinct sides: a dark, cozy pub and an open-air bar. It also stays open until 2 a.m. every night, so the outdoor stop does not have to end early.
Check the weather and the venue. Rooftops can close while the indoor bar stays open. Dog rules, reservations, and table service also differ from one patio to the next.
Outdoor seating and operating details were checked against official venue sources on September 20, 2026.
