Uptown Charlotte Bars: Choose the View, Music, or Late Kitchen

Find an Uptown rooftop, jazz club, hotel lounge, late kitchen, oyster bar, brewery stop, or dinner room near the stadiums and theaters.

Uptown works best when the bar matches the rest of your plan. Pick the view, the music, the late meal, or the kind of dinner you want before the show or game.

For the skyline

Merchant & Trade sits on the 19th floor of the Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel. The room moves from an indoor bar to an outdoor terrace, private terrace, and lawn. It is 21 and over, and regular seating is first come, first served.

For live jazz or a quieter hotel lounge

Middle C Jazz is an intimate listening room with small plates, cocktails, and a calendar that moves through jazz, R&B, and funk. Sophia's Lounge sits inside The Ivey's Hotel and stays open until 1 a.m. on Friday and Saturday. Choose Middle C for the performance and Sophia's for the conversation.

For food after the event

The Pub at Uptown is one of the practical answers near Truist Field and Bank of America Stadium. It opens every day until 2 a.m., serves its full kitchen menu until 1:30 a.m., and includes free parking in the attached garage.

For beer, oysters, or dinner

Resident Culture at 7th Street is the local beer stop inside the market. Sea Level NC is the oyster bar, with weekday oyster happy hour and a bar that outlasts the dining room. Angeline's handles breakfast, brunch, Italian dinner, and a late menu. Church and Union is the chef-driven Uptown dinner inside the historic district.

Venue details and official operating pages were checked through October 4, 2026. Event hours and rooftop access can change, so confirm the linked profile before you go.
