A Spanish-leaning tapas and cocktail bar on Roxborough Road, just off the SouthPark core. Its own site pairs small plates and late bites with a cocktail programme, and it keeps an indoor and outdoor space it rents for private events.
Charlotte Bars: SouthPark
Built out around the mall that gave it its name, and now one of the denser restaurant districts in the city outside the center. Freestanding rooms rather than food courts: steak, Italian, sushi, and the long-running places that have watched the towers go up around them.
Firebirds at Morrison gives SouthPark a steakhouse with a dedicated bar and patio. Weekday happy hour brings discounted shared plates to those seats. The Sharon Road branch publishes its own menu, so use it rather than prices from another Firebirds location.
A specialty grocer that also runs a deli, a hot bar and a full restaurant with lunch and dinner service. Its own site calls Reid's Charlotte's original hometown specialty food store. The company now runs five stores across the city.
The SouthPark room opens at 7:30am on weekdays and runs as a coffee bar before it is a taproom, which the South End original does not do. It keeps its own hours.
