Dot Dot Dot

A limited number of door memberships are sold, but the bar tells people to buy online. It is one of the few Charlotte rooms posting a 1am close.

Idlewild

NoDa

Idlewild calls itself a little cocktail bar and means it. It is on E 36th Street in NoDa, it takes no party larger than six, it allows no children, and it runs to 2am on Fridays and Saturdays. Reservations go through Resy but walk-ins are welcome.

Middle C Jazz

Uptown · small plates, cocktails

Middle C Jazz is a jazz club on South Brevard Street in Uptown that calls itself an intimate New York style club with Southern hospitality. Supperland

Plaza Midwood · southern, new american, steakhouse

Supperland is a Southern steakhouse inside a restored mid-century church on The Plaza, from the same Jeff Tonidandel and Jamie Brown group behind Haberdish and Growlers Pourhouse. Its own site says the restaurant occupies a restored mid-century church in Plaza Midwood and is plain about the work involved: restoring an old building is never an easy task, especially when that building is getting turned into a restaurant. The Bar at Supperland runs out of the church annex behind the main room, and there is a reservations-only speakeasy. It was named a Selected restaurant in the 2025 MICHELIN Guide American South, and its lead bartender Colleen Hughes won the guide's 2025 American South Exceptional Cocktails Award.

The Bohemian

Plaza Midwood · wine, charcuterie

The Bohemian is a wine bar on Pecan Avenue, a block off the Central Avenue strip, pouring by the glass and the bottle with cheese and charcuterie boards to go with them. It opens at noon most days and closes at 11pm on Friday and Saturday, which makes it one of the quieter rooms in a loud neighbourhood.

The Evening Muse

NoDa

The Evening Muse has been running on North Davidson Street since 2001 and bills itself as Charlotte's premiere intimate venue for up-and-coming and established musicians, artists, comedians and poets. It is a listening room rather than a bar with a stage, and it runs a Monday open mic. Its calendar carries shows into 2027.
